“Beautiful farmhouse with great hosts”
Left on May 6, 2022 for a stay in May 2022
An ideal rural retreat. Farmhouse comfortably accommodates 6. Lovely antique furniture gives a rustic feel but still has plenty of modern amenities. 10 minutes to Adare village and 30 minutes to Limerick making this an ideal spot for exploring the region. Hosts were fantastic, helping with local restaurants, booking taxis, and making sure we were comfortable during the stay, even laid the sitting room fire for us. Welcome pack of food was well thought out and the Marmalade with Irish Whiskey went down a treat. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay at the cottage, which is situated in a beautiful area of lush green farmlands. The house was clean, charming, comfortable, and larger than the photos depict. Communication with Anne prior to check in was a breeze. A most gracious host, she helped us sort out some logistics for our Easter arrival and even had some food and coffee at the house-much appreciated after an overnight flight. Dan also popped by a few times to offer generous advice about the local sites and how to navigate them, which we took and had a perfect weather view of the Cliffs of Moher. Their sweet dog Sadie kept careful track of our arrivals and departures and would greet us each time. We spent sone evenings in Adare village, a charming and manageable spot with lots of restaurants and pubs. Our family was very impressed with the experience and we hope to return someday.

Anne and Dan were wonderful hosts. The 300 year old farm house is charming and the grounds were picture perfect. The property is great for families. The hosts were available to answer questions and provide advice on sites and day trips! We were celebrating my Dad's 85th birthday and it was the perfect spot - we'll be back.

I've stayed in a few locations around Ireland for a staycation, but Dan and Anne's place beats them all, from the very start it was like walking Into a home, the farmhouse had everything we needed, and the kids loved the place and waking upto the calves each morning, and Sandie who my 2 year old calls out for every morning. Dan was always on hand to recommend places to go. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for making an incredible holiday.

“Heaven on Earth”
We have stayed at a number of rental properties over the years but this has been one of our best experiences ever. Our family of 5 loved the old farm house and it had everything we needed. Anne and Dan are the best hosts and checked on us throughout the stay. Dan also gives excellent tips on what to see and do. Of course, we loved having Sadie the farm dog visit with us daily and we wanted to bring her back home to the States with us! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone vacationing in Ireland. The house is only 45 minutes from Shannon Airport and within a couple of hours drive from most sightseeing spots. Thanks Anne and Dan for sharing your home with us....it made our vacation that much more memorable and we hope to come back soon!

“Charming home away from home”
We absolutely loved our home away from home and, should we be lucky enough to return to Ireland, would stay in this house again. The house had warmth, comfort, and charm and Dan, Anne, and Sadie took great care of us. When we arrived, there was food waiting for us, which was so welcome after a long day of travel and sightseeing. Sadie greeted us as we drove up and continued to welcome us home after each day of sightseeing, which my daughters particularly enjoyed. Dan laid a fire for us each day and two of the evenings we lit a fire and relaxed in the living room before heading off to bed. Dan was so helpful in giving us advice and information on places to visit and provided brochures on attractions in the area. I looked forward to returning to the house each evening and only wish we could have stayed longer to further enjoy the comfort of the home and the beauty of Ireland.
